Borrowing some of its styling from the larger Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Ford Puma Gen-E also features the ‘GigaBox’ - a storage compartment hidden underneath the boot floor that contributes to a 574-litre luggage capacity. You get a 43-litre front boot as well.

With power of 168 PS as standard and with all models coming loaded with equipment, a Ford Puma Gen-E lease is a tempting one indeed.

About the Ford Puma Gen-E

As far as compact crossovers go, the regular Ford Puma is all-conquering. It has consistently featured in lists of the UK’s best-selling cars and has long been admired for its sporty handling.

The Ford Puma Gen-E ups the ante, giving you the option of an all-electric powertrain with your Puma lease while losing none of the traditionally-fuelled car’s appeal.

Ford reckons the Gen-E is its ‘best ever Puma’ with the ‘most fun-to-drive experience yet’.

Why lease a Ford Puma Gen-E?

If you’re in the market for a do-it-all car, a Ford Puma Gen-E lease ticks a lot of boxes.

An efficient powertrain offers 234 miles between charges, even on entry level models, while power of 168 PS ensures the Puma Gen-E is quick off the mark, accelerating from 0-62 mph in 8.0 seconds.

An enormous 574-litre boot - thanks in part to the ‘GigaBox’ underfloor storage system - is right up there with the best in its class and will appeal to busy families.

The Ford Puma Gen-E is also well-equipped, with standard features including a 12.0-inch touchscreen and wireless phone charging.

Which Ford Puma Gen-E powertrain is right for me?

Electric

Every Ford Puma Gen-E lease is underpinned by a 54 kWh battery offering power of 168 PS, 290 Nm of torque, and a range of up to 234 miles between charges. Rapid 100 kW DC charging can restore the energy in the battery from 10-80 per cent in around 23 minutes.

Which Ford Puma Gen-E trim level should I lease?

Select

Select

The entry-level Select trim offers 233 miles of range - which trumps the Premium grade. You can also expect 17-inch alloys, a 12-inch touchscreen with Alexa built-in, a 12.8-inch digital display, wireless smartphone integration, ambient lighting, a rear-view camera, wireless charging pad, and a high-speed 5G modem.

Premium

Premium

The Premium grade adds extras such as larger 18-inch alloys, LED Matrix headlights, a B&O sound system, and a power lift tailgate.

I had a great experience and good customer service from Garry Rahman, from the moment I enquired for a car quotation to delivery. He is professional, respectful and answered all my questions very patiently. There was no pressure to take a decision in haste which I really liked. He explained all my options clearly and made the entire car buying experience smooth and hassle free. I definitely recommend Garry to anyone who is looking to buy a car. Thank you Garry.

This is the third lease company I’ve used, but in terms of the ordering process, the communication, the documentation and the speed of delivery I would have to place Select first for customer service. I also secured a great price (for a Hyundai Tucson) as well as having the flexibility of not needing to pay a deposit, which made the deal very attractive. However, I’m fully aware that you can’t truly judge a car leasing company until the end of the contract when the car is being returned, as that is what genuinely separates one leasing company from another. On that basis, my rating is based on the relationship to date. The delivery of the car itself was one area where I have experienced a superior service from another lease company. The company in question would deliver their cars on a transporter so the cars were delivered to my house in immaculate condition with something like 20 miles on the clock. The car I received a few days ago was driven about 100 miles to my home, on a rainy day in December, so it was handed over to me dirty. A relatively minor point.
